Shooting

More wall to wall coverage of a shooting at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C, dominated the cable news on Monday.

Thankfully, Zimmerman turned into a non-story quickly, though it seemed that all the reporting on Syria had difficulty in spinning as a positive or negative story.

Fabulous coverage from Denver, especially by The Denver Post and NBC News, on the flooding in Colorado, but it's easier to follow natural disasters because of the ample video footage. Covering a shooting with only static shots of standing around and waiting is more difficult, forcing the talking heads and speculation to take over.
